Hindsight, Insight, and Foresight Card Deck & Travel Insight Card Deck

PLAYCE – Placemaking through Play – is an approach created by Joy Keubler Landscape Architect for public engagement. It’s fun and interactive and helps to form the basis of a design vision that is deeply rooted in community support. PLAYCE’s Hindsight / Insight / Foresight Deck of cards is a tool created and used by Joy, her team, and other landscape architects interested in adapting this unique approach to placemaking. Joy hired Allieway to refresh the card deck from start to finish. This included rebranding the name of the card deck, selected nearly 60 images and corresponding words that, designing an updated look and feel, and selecting the paper and packaging. The process itself was creative, and the deck of cards in sum needed to evoke as many emotions and feelings as possible to elicit the most engagement from future participants. Once the updated deck was complete, Joy and her team were ready put it to immediate use for their existing work and share it as a tool for other landscape architects.
