By Ellise Williams In HolidayAllieway Marketing was asked by the City of Durham to create the 2021 Citizens’ Financial Report. In partnership with the City’s Finance Department, we developed a theme, copy, and design for the annual report. Allieway completed interviews with select departments including the Audit Services Department which we used to create special editorial content for the report. We designed the report to read and feel like a magazine in an effort to increase readability and interest with the public. One of our favorite pieces is an interview between Major the Bull and a member of the City Manager’s Office. The interview was written to help articulate the City’s process for allocating Durham’s nearly $52 million in American Rescue Plan funds.
