Because this was a heavy lift and a project we may well want to share in client pitches and presentations, I built out a more robust version of a case study. This would support a price tag aligned with something custom at this level.

Background
West Queen Studio is a floral design business based in Hillsborough, North Carolina that offers floral arrangements, workshops, and wedding services. The owner, Morgan Howell Moylan, approached us to redesign her existing website, which was outdated both visually and functionally. While the initial goal was a simple site refresh, through collaboration with Morgan we saw an opportunity to transform the site into a true representation of her artistic talents and passion for floral design.

Objectives
The key goals for the new West Queen Studio website included:

• Modernize the visual design with an artistic, typographic voice
• Enhance user experience with interactive elements
• Establish stronger brand voice and personality
• Showcase Morgan’s talents through curated photography
• Allow the client team to easily update content
• Promote the studio as a unique workshop destination
• Inspire community engagement through workshops and classes

Process & Solution
We conducted a full content audit and worked closely with Morgan to clarify the brand voice and creative direction. After researching competitor sites and floral artists, we developed a color palette and typographic style reflective of the organic, playful nature of the business.

Given the artistic goals, we recommended switching platforms from the existing CMS to WordPress. This allowed us to incorporate animated elements, striking photography, and a gallery-style layout to display Morgan’s arrangements. The responsive design ensures her work shines across desktop and mobile experiences.

The refreshed site architecture improves navigation while retaining clear calls-to-action for contacting West Queen Studio or registering for workshops. We emphasized the studio’s charm by showcasing photos of the interior and exterior. Easy-to-use backend tools empower Morgan to effortlessly manage dynamic content including blog posts, class schedules, and new wedding galleries.

Results & Benefits
The new West Queen Studio website exceeded the client’s expectations and transformed their online presence into a true destination for floral inspiration. Morgan was thrilled with the artistic direction and noted the website made her even more excited to expand her classes and private events efforts.
